ROYSTON, Ga. - The Lion's volleyball team split in their conference matches this weekend. The team took a tough loss to Limestone on Friday before coming out with a win on Saturday.

The Lion's put up a tough fight, falling in five sets to Limestone on Friday (13-25, 2-21, 25-17, 21-25, 10-15). The offense was ran by Rachel Tolleson and Erica Burnham with 10 and 9 kills respectively, Erica Burnham also picked up 13 digs. Danielle Sweet and Rachel Tolleson both put down 4 blocks for the Lions. Libby Bradford dished out 20 assists. Becca Graham had 15 assists and 9 digs.

The team had their second match of the weekend also go to five sets, but the outcome for the Lions was different on Saturday. The Lions came out victorious over Converse Valkyries (17-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-27, 15-12). Sophie Windover picked up 22 digs, while Erica Burnham, Cali Jones, and Libby Bradford were also in the double digits. Danielle Sweet and Cali Jones put down 14 kills, and Erica Burnham and Rachel Tolleson had 9 kills in the winning effort. Libby Bradford recorded 25 assists.

The Emmanuel Women's Volleyball team will travel to take on the Truett-McConnell Bears on Monday (September 29) at 7 PM
