Women's Soccer Silenced by Nighthawks

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College women's soccer team played their final regular season game against the University of North Georgia on Tuesday night. The NCAA Southeast Region #4 ranked Nighthawks took down the Lions, 3-0. With this loss, the Lions record moves to 9-8 overall, 6-5 in conference. 

EC totaled 11 shots on the night, including 6 on goal. Despite their efforts, the Lions were unable to score.

UNG's Taylor Malasek scored the first goal of the night in the thirty-sixth minute. Rosie Embley would go on to score back to back points within 3 minutes of eachother late in the second half. 

Senior goalkeeper Hannah Welch totaled 5 saves for the Lions.

This concludes regular season play for the Lady Lions. The EC women's soccer team will now head into the Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals as the #6 seed. The #3 seed Barton College will host Emmanuel on Saturday, November 9th to determine who advances into the Conference Carolinas Semi-Finals.
