FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College women's basketball team fell to Newberry College 70-56 on Friday night. This loss brings the Lions record to 2-3 overall.

Senior Ajah Taylor led the Lions with 9 points in a strong first half performance. After 20 lead changes, the Lions would trail 28-26 at halftime.

As the second half progressed, Junior Morgan Simmons would sink a shot from behind the arc to propel the Lions to a 29-28 lead.
