Men's Track and Field Competes at Emory Invitational

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Emmanuel College men's track and field team traveled to Atlanta to compete at the Emory Invitational this past weekend.

Junior DaMonte' Ward led the men after finishing fourth in the 800 meter run with a new college personal record, school record, and conference qualifying time of 1:54.40. Sophomore James Blake made his debut in the 100 and 400 meter dash with a 11.77 finish and 52.49 finish. Kameron Collier ran a personal record in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.22. Jackson lowered his season best in the 400 meter hurdles with a 1:01.39, while Veasley ran a personal record of 1:03.70.  

Josiah Coile made his outdoor debut in the 1500 meter run with a 5:09.23 personal record, while Perry opened in Javelin with 16.15 meters, 5.08m in long jump, and 12.02 in the 100 meter dash. Soto was the program's top field performer after finishing sixth in pole vaulting with a 14'1.25 finish.

Next up, the men's 4x100 meter relay and 4x400 meter relay will be heading to Florida Relays for the next meet.
