FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Emmanuel College men's lacrosse team battled in the second half to claim a win over Mars Hill 11-10.
EC would take an early lead taking the first quarter 4-2 with a pair of goals from Alex Stull as Lance Olson and Kylon Collins each collected one. The highlight reel continues for Emmanuel as once again, the Lions scored with theatrics with Stull netting a goal with one-second showing on the board.
Emmanuel would lead heading into the second and the teams would alternate scoring for the first 12-minutes. Both of the EC goals in the second quarter were Stull off a feed from Matthew Mitchell. With under three to play in the half, Mars Hill would go on a three goal run to take the lead heading into the break up 7-6.
Both teams defensive adjustments proved helpful to start to third quarter as neither team would score for eight-minutes. Lance Olson fed Shamaz Durrant to stop the drought to even the score at seven. Mars Hill would reclaim the lead scoring back-to-back goals with 3:42 left on the clock. Madison Hunter Phillips would score less than 20-seconds later to close out the quarter. EC trailed as they headed into the fourth, 9-8.
EC would go on a three goal run in the fourth to gain back the lead as Stull claimed two more and Durrant also added to his tally. Mars Hill would score with 3:22 left in the game, but Emmanuel's victory formation held strong to take the win at home 11-10.

EC was again able to move the ball well though the middle of the field as they went 21-27 on clearing.
The Lions are at home against Mt. Olive on Saturday for Senior Day at 2:30 p.m.
