Athletic Training Room Hours:

Monday-Friday:9:15-12p & 1p-6:30p

9:30a–12p Evaluation of injuries and rehab.
12pm -1 p.m. CLOSED
1p- to closing - Pre-practice preparation (Rehab by appointment only)

***If a student athlete is unable to make it to the athletic training room during the allotted hours for evaluation of injuries and rehab due to class conflicts, arrangements can be made with the ATC staff to receive treatment***
Saturday-Sunday:Open two hours prior to competition and 30 minutes after competition.

 

VISITING TEAM INFORMATION

The athletic training room is located in the back of the Shaw Athletic Center, down the hall from the basketball/volleyball courts. Address: 139 Roach Street, Franklin Spring, GA, 30639.

  • If an athletic trainer is not traveling with the visiting team, we ask that a fully stocked kit is sent with the team. If any pre-competition treatment is required, please send an email prior to arrival or place a letter in the kit with listed treatment requests. We ask that treatments are limited to heat, ice, taping, and applying wraps/braces.

  • Biohazard kit, injury ice, and emergency equipment (AED, Vacuum Splints, Crutches and Spine board with cervical collar) will be present on the home side of competition.

  • Water and cups will be available on the visiting bench.

IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE COMPLETED IN ITS ENTIRETY AND APPROVED ON ARMS BEFORE PARTICIPATING.

Medical Insurance Disclaimer:

Emmanuel College does NOT provide a primary insurance to purchase AND does NOT have a secondary insurance. All students must read and electronically sign the insurance disclaimer located in their ARMS account.

Per NCAA rules, if you have Medicaid (in state OR out of state) you MUST purchase a basic accidental medical insurance.

Suggested Primary Coverage Insurances

  • First Agency (www.1stagency.com)
    • Go to www.1stagency.com  -> programs -> Short term medical care -> Allied National - Choose Pivot Health Plan -> Get a quote
    • Intercollegiate, interscholastic, intramural, or club sports coverage removed from base plan and added as a buy-up. You must add this option if utilizing 1st Agency as your provider.
  • International Student Athletes Options
    • International Student Protection 
      • Must purchase Pioneer Elite Plan to secure mandated sports coverage
    • Tokio Marine (International Student Athletes)
      • Purchase the Budget Plan to secure mandated sports coverage
