Women’s Tennis Team achieves 10th straight win, now over Royals!

Knoxville, TN – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis Team traveled out of state one more time for a final NCCAA contest this season, now at the courts of the Johnson University Royals!

The Lady Lions Tennis Team looked dominant once again today from start to finish, starting with an impressive doubles action. At all three courts, EC was too superior and never dropped a game, clinching all matches by 8-0. The first team to draw a point was the undefeated team in conference Carolinas matches, Cipriano / Silva, followed by O'Connor / Botella, with in a 4th straight win, and then by Kiderlen / Raich, who just achieved a 9th straight win.

With the confidence level at the highest level possible, the Lady Lions continue their superiority, now in singles play. The 4th point came from the Junior, Pearllan Cipriano on court #1, who looked to approach the net at almost every opportunity for a perfect 6-0 6-0 victory. On court #4, Katharina Kiderlen faced no problems today to dispatch her foe by 6-1 6-1. In almost an identical scenario, Victoria Silva just moved her opponent around and with good ball placements, Silva gave EC a 6th point, by 6-0 6-1. Chloe O'Connor, Maria Raich, and Abi Muesse never looked back and clinched their matches without dropping a single game. The first one out of the court was the Sophomore Maria Raich on court #2, followed by the Junior O'Connor, and finally by the Senior, Muesse.

This match marked the 4th straight win by a sweep for the Lady Lions this season!

Coming up next, Emmanuel will be back on the home courts this Sunday for the last time this season, where they will honor the sole senior of the year, Abi Muesse.  First serve is scheduled for 1:00PM!
