Women's Lacrosse falls to No. 1 SCAD

SAVANNAH, Ga.--- The Emmanuel College women's lacrosse team fell to the No. 1 ranked Savannah College of Art and Design 18-7 on Saturday evening. The Lions fall to 7-8 on the season while the Bees finish their regular season 11-0.

The Lions could not keep up with the Bees in the first half as they quickly found themselves behind 14-2. Savannah Gratz (Ball Ground, GA/North Forsyth) put three points on the scoreboard for EC in the second half. Gratz also collected a team and game-high 7 draw controls.

Freshman Allie Brock (Newnan, GA/Northgate) connected on two of her three shots in the second half. Haley Larson (Loxahatchee, FL/Seminole Ridge) and Megan Hart (Acworth, GA/North Paulding) also scored for EC. Hart had another full-field performance with 5 groundballs and grabbed 5 draw controls.

The Lions are back on the field Monday, April 7th as they host the No. 4 ranked Reinhardt University Eagles as they compete for the 3rd place spot in the south region playoffs. The draw is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
