Lion quartet honored as Women's Lacrosse Soars by St. Andrew’s 20-12

COLUMBIA, SC (April 11, 2014) – The Emmanuel College women's lacrosse team made program history with a 20-12 victory in their first ever NWLL south region conference tournament win. The Lions also placed four on the All-Region team.

Megan Hart (Acworth, GA/North Paulding) and Savannah Gratz (Ball Ground, GA/North Forsyth) were voted first team all-south region while Haley Larson (Loxahatchee, FL/Seminole Ridge) and goalkeeper Danielle Roach (Sugar Hill, GA/North Gwinett) notched second team honors.

Gratz paced the lions with five goals on the night while Hart and Allie Brock (Newnan, GA/Northgate) found the back of the net four times. Four other Lions aided in the victory as Larson (2 goals), Jess Carranza (Miramar, FL/Broward CC) (2 goals) and Kamaia Gaylen (Grayson, GA/Archer), Tyler Rediger (Hoschton, GA/Mill Creek) and Katie McCall (Elberton, GA/Elberton) scored one goal apiece.

The Lions return to action on Saturday, April 12th as they face Reinhardt in the semi-finals at 1pm.
