Dr. Register is a native Georgian who attended High School in Alpharetta and received a degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. While at UGA, he played Offensive Guard on the Georgia Bulldog football team and was a 3-year letterman from 1997-1999. He also won the Joel Eaves Award, which is given to the top senior scholar-athlete at UGA. He then traveled to study medicine at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where he met his wife, Jennifer. Following graduation from medical school, he returned to Atlanta to complete his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Emory University. Most recently Dr. Register completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the prestigious Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado, where he learned from some of the most well-known and respected Orthopedic Surgeons in the world. Dr. Register has been in Georgia for 2 years, utilizing the techniques he learned and providing the best possible outcome for his patients. He is specifically interested in arthroscopic surgery of the hip, shoulder and knee and he has been trained to perform complex reconstructions of all of these joints.
