Sophomore EC swimmer, Alex Sobers, had a great final swim on Monday at the 21st Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Sobers competed in his final event of the Games, the 50 LCM freestyle, finishing 2nd in his heat and swimming a personal best 23.75 for the event. Sobers finished 28th overall.
The Commonwealth Games have been conducted every four years (except for 1942 and 1946 due to World War II) since 1930. The Commonwealth Games have become a modern sporting spectacular that now includes 71 nations and over 6,000 athletes.

100 LCM freestyle, personal best 51.12 (finished 29th overall)
50 LCM freestyle, personal best 23.75 (finished 28th overall)
